Purposes of and legal basis for the processing of personal data (Art. 13 (1) (c) GDPR)

Our business is to engage in translating texts into and from various languages and the provision of associated services. We use personal data for contract execution and customer administration. We process address, contact, invoicing and payment data.

Personal data will only be processed for the purposes approved by the data subject and with his/her consent. This serves to fulfil a contract to which the data subject is a contracting party, or to implement pre-contractual measures at the request of the data subject. Moreover, the processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation to which we are subject (Art. 6 (1) GDPR).

Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data (Art. 13 (1) (e) and (f) GDPR)

Personal data are only used internally and are not transferred to third countries or international organisations. Personal data will only be passed on to public authorities or service providers in accordance with the statutory provisions if these require the data to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes.

Duration of storage of the personal data (Art. 13 (2) (a) GDPR)

Personal data will be erased after the statutory retention periods.

Right of access, rectification, erasure and complaint (Art. 13 (2) (b) – (d) GDPR)

Data subjects have the right to free information on personal data concerning them, to rectification/erasure of inaccurate or incomplete personal data, or to restrictions on processing, unless otherwise provided for by law. Data subjects have the right to revoke their consent to the processing of their personal data, insofar as this does not conflict with any legal provisions. Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of North Rhine-Westphalia https://www.ldi.nrw.de/.

Other information

When you visit our website, anonymous access data (which cannot be assigned to any person) are collected automatically, as is the case everywhere on the Internet. These data (browser type and version, operating system, URL of the previously visited page, IP address of your computer/router and date and time of access) are automatically transmitted by the visitor’s browser and temporarily collected in a log file at our provider. This data collection is intended for statistical evaluation of our website and as protection against hackers and other dangers. These data will not be brought together with other data sources or passed on to third parties. The data will be erased as prescribed by law as soon as they are no longer needed for the purposes described.
